Perinatal Leadership

The PERINATAL Peer Group is held accountable to improve the safety and quality of our patient care, contribute to the financial success of Kaiser Permanente, improve the work experience of our staff as outlined by the National Program Office, the regional nursing leadership and the goals assigned by them in the Big Dots Dashboard, the Line of Sight goals and the individual objectives of the committee itself.  In order to achieve the above deliverables, the committee relies upon:

  • The sharing and adoption of best practices
  • Evidence-based practices and research
  • Diverse educational opportunities and strategies
  • Collaboration of workflow changes, enhancements and optimization
  • Providing expert feedback based on areas of expertise
  • Improving the standards of nursing practice
  • Driving regional goals utilizing the synergistic effect of the team
  • Collaboration with peers and other disciplines
  • Make recommendations and decisions as appropriate
